week of 12/14

This week I made a bowl and glazed it. I like how the piece turned aout but I wish that I added more to the bowl instead of just a plain bowl that I had to decorate with glaze.

week of 12/7

This week I glazed two pieces and made my pot for my master artist piece. I’m happy with how the trays turned out and how I glazed them.

week of 11/30

This week I started a slab construction box with a lid. I wasn't happy with the outcome and ended up putting it in the slop bucket.

week of 10/26

This week I made a heart bowl and a small plate. I made it through slab construction and a mold. I engraved a saying into it and will use it for a jewelry dish.

week of 10/19

This week I glazed some of my pieces. I also worked on a few pieces that didn't turn out as I had hoped they would and I didn't get photos of them.

week of 10/8

This week I made a flower plate and used pieces of slabs for the petals. I needed to smooth out the petals more and shape the plate better.

week of 10/1

This week I worked on making my animal. I envisioned a turtle bowl thats top was a lid. It didn't work out as well as i would have hoped. I made a pinch pot and added a head and tail by scoring and slipping then made a lid for it and scored and slipped a handle on it. I am still working on this piece.

week of 9/24

This week I worked on my slab construction. I made this box from cutting out squares and rectangles from my slab and scoring and slipping the sides together. The box unfortunately cracked before I could take photos of it.

week of 9/17

This week I worked on my coil construction bowl. I started by making a bottom for the bowl, made different coil designs, then scored and slipped it onto the bottom and onto the other coils on the bowl.

week of 9/10

This week I finished up my pineapple pinch pot by finishing up the leaves and adding last minute details.

week of 9/4

This week I worked on my two pinch pots. I decided to make a pineapple decoration from the two pinch pots. I started by making two bowls, scored and slipped them together, to make a bomb pretty much. From that I formed it into the shape I wanted, added leaves onto the top by scoring and slipping them on, added a foot, and multiple holes in the piece so it wouldn't blow up in the kiln.

week of 8/27

This week I worked on my face, and my paperweight/bowl. They didn't turn out how I wanted them to and they could have been much smoother and nicer.

week of 8/20

This week I worked on my stamps and learned how to work, wedge and form things with the clay.
